It allows you to tweak critical parameters including GPU core clocks, memory frequency, and voltage settings, with the option to monitor everything in real-time through a customizable on-screen display. Reviewed in the United States on 2 December 2022The ASUS GPU Tweak II utility takes graphics card tuning to the next level. I would recommend this card to anyone who wants a big update on the performance of an Ultimate machine!Īmazing Performance and Best Value for Money in this time ! I consider it a bad design, I use for that an aftermarket holding bracket. To mount this plate, you need to use 3 other back slots for one, you can't fix it with the screw anymore. MSI put in a box a slate metal plate for holding the card. Also, you need 3 x 8 Pins VGA Cables available to power this card from your power supply. Be prepared to have 12 1/2 inches ( 32 cm ) empty in your case. If you wonder if is big enough to fill up your case.well. I have no cons for the Graphic card by itself it's just a stunning Performance / Look. The 3 fans and the RGB LED accent look gorgeous!. The card looks amazing in your system, If you want to mount it vertically it will be a plus for your machine. MSI combines the look and the performance in a very good way. 12 GB, GDDR6, is Just a Beast! You can easily play the ultimate graphic games on ultras in 4K with 100 fps. But I have bought a lot of MSI and I have never seen this kind of quality control. Just a little upset I paid full price for a possible refurbished product or an opened box product. if so, I could totally over look the markings. I havent installed this in my rig yet and I am hoping it works as intended. The cooling fins at one corner were bent slightly with ding marks. Some weird booger like thing on the fan, the stickers on the fans had weird marks on them. they might seem small, but when somebody spends $1500 on a product, it better be perfect. So this could be from the 3rd party seller or MSI's quality control sucks! The box didnt SEEM to be tampered with, but when I removed this card from the box and inspected it, I was finding all kinds of red flags. Reviewed in the United States on 3 December 2022 Reviewed in the United States on 17 June 2022Įverything seems good, but QUALITY CONTROL BLOWS! Great performer with lots of overclocking overhead Overall, a great piece of kit for a decent price! Now for under $1200, which is slightly less then I paid. Thankfully though, you don't need to load it on boot for it to maintain your settings and the services that load on boot seem light weight enough. Also the MSI Software is so big and bloated and you need to install it if you want to change the LED or fan settings. The LED light bar on the top of the card doesn't have a good defuser. My two main gripes about the card aren't enough to reduce my rating as it doesn't impact anything meaningful. That is with my case fans kicking up to 100% to provide plenty of airflow. I am getting temps between 80 and 84 depending on which core you measure. Was able to easily add 500 MHz to the memory and 100 to the GPU core with no stability problems using Afterburner, which is a great piece of software. I ended up turning off the zero-fan setting in the MSI Software as I want a cooler base temp and couldn't hear the fans when enabled at low temps. By default, the fans are set to run at 0 RPM until about 55 degrees Celsius. Overall, this card is a great performer and is extremely quiet. Cyberpunk is closer to 60fps with full raytracing and high settings and DLSS, so that game is a GPU killer. This card offers a very similar level of performance for about $1k less! Forza 5 easily handles Extreme ++ at full 4k at about 70-90 FPS with overclocking. Getting a card that could handle a full 4k important for me, but I didn't want to break the bank on a 3090. I am hoping to run all my games at 4k, high/extreme settings. It is baffling that you can take a card and turn the voltage down while simultaneously turning the clock speed up! After all the tweaking was done, the card is peaking over 100fps in Forza at Extreme ++ settings and getting a 21000+ rating on 3DMark Time Spy! Also, the temps have dropped to sub 80's, usually hovering around 78 at full load for several hours. After doing some research, I was able to under volt the GPU creating a custom power curve using MSI Afterburner.
